World Water Day 2024 was celebrated on 22 March under the theme Water for Peace. Organized by the UN, it highlights the crucial role of water in the consolidation of global peace. Indeed, equitable management and conservation of water can prevent conflicts and promote global prosperity. In an equally pragmatic way and with an economic aim this time, REENIU has been deploying solutions since its creation to save this precious resource, especially for industries that consume large amounts of water. 📢 Our main principles? *Measure, understand, saving*. ⚡ Energy efficiency is your first fuel! 💧 Water is essential for life, but it can also become a source of tension between communities and nations. Equitable water management is therefore crucial for the avoidance of conflicts and the promotion of peace. It is important to work together to establish mechanisms to improve access to drinking water and to protect this resource from pollution and deforestation. In some countries, access to drinking water is still a real challenge. Even in the most industrialized ones, the sharing of water and abundant access to this resource, even in periods of drought, is becoming a major challenge in agricultural production, but also in the production of electrical energy. The main challenges are to preserve water quality and ensure the sustainability of the resource. Closer to home, water stress is becoming a major social issue, as climate change impacts quantity as well as quality.Preserving water quality in the face of environmental contaminationsIn this context, it is essential to organize awareness-raising campaigns on the right actions to preserve water quality. This initiative allows citizens to know the right behaviors to adopt to avoid any contamination of their drinking water resource, and to save resources. In addition, the sustainability of water resources is threatened by deforestation. The actions developed in this framework also aim to encourage the responsible exploitation of forest resources and therefore to preserve the sources of drinking water essential to the daily life of local populations. 🌿
